It's disappointing to say but Philips DVD Recorders seem to be the most complained DVDR brand on www.reviewcentre.com! It's surprising to find that such a well known brand has let down so many of it's customers.

The worst model seems to be the Philips DVDR-880 with 39 reviews and most of them bad! only 26% of people would recommend this machine to others! The DVDR-880 has been around for awhile and has been superseded by newer models, unfortunately the new DVDRs from Philips are also getting there fair share of poor reviews too.

We understand that some DVD-R brands will received mixed reviews from time to time, this is often down to the user error and or poor customer support in many countries, however the sheer number of negative reviews about Philips DVD-Rs recorders is worrying.
